Dedication!

It's 5:53 am right now -- do you know where your Break a Leg crew is?

Around 50 minutes ago we finished shooting in one of the coolest locations ever -- The Hotel Majestic, a real, supposedly haunted hotel in San Francisco that was built in 1904. I'll include the link in the morning because I'm insanely tired but -- suffice to say, they're amazingly cool to let us shoot there and it's a beautiful, beautiful place.

'Cause the only way to shoot there when the music at the bar is turned off is to shoot it late (that sentence was all kinds of bad), we started shooting at around 11 pm. That's right, 11 pm. You wonder why there is no Jennifer Blog today? It's because he was there too, as was Skip (Sebastian), Flynn (Larry), and of course, Hillary, Dustin, Justin, Dashiell and I.

Why am I still up?

This is how dedicated Justin and Dashiell are. Today is Tuesday (well, Wednesday) and they have work. Because there's just no way they're going to sleep and make it in time for work, they're spending NOW getting ready for what they're doing in.. well, 4 hours. On no sleep. After shooting for 6 hours.

People have asked us what advice we have for filmmakers? Do it because you love it and do it to perfection. Don't complain, work hard, give it all you've got, bleed film and art, and you'll get there. Are we there? Not just yet. Do I think we will be? I think so. I hope so. I think so.

Anyway, the footage looks amazing. I can't wait for you guys to see this episode and all the interesting shots, scenes, etc. that are in it.

And, finally, thanks again for watching us and commenting and, in general, being fans. There's a reason we do this and it's mostly because we know you're there, and you're watching, and you're telling friends, and you're quoting our quotes, and it's damn worth not sleeping a day or two to get the kind of support you've given us.

So thanks!

I'm going to go now and stare at Justin and Dashiell angrily, hoping that, one day, perhaps soon, Justin will take me out of the underground, creepy basement-like place where they work and drive me to my bed, where I will sleep and dream of film, and art, and, not sleeping for all of it.

Night!

I don't know how these guys do this. I can only say we were all a bit blurry eyed when we started and when I left (they are so kind to their elders) at 2:30 they had two or more scenes to crank out. They are actors, director, scene crafters and about the most talented bunch of kids around. I tell everyone I know that these guys are going places. So kudos to the actors of BaL but my hat (Top hat to boot) is off to Yuri, Justin, Dashiell, Dustin and Hilary for continuously making this a fun (albeit tiring) show to work on. They are the greatest.

Heh, thanks guys. Just about to leave work now. Dash and I were both able to grab about an hour and half of Z's on the floor at work before getting up and starting a BRAND NEW DAY! Anyway, feeling a bit loopy at the moment and I can hear my bed calling me all the way from across the city...
Goodnight to all, and to all a good night.

It amazes me what these guys do. And they never ask us to do anything they haven't done a hundred times before. They run themselves ragged day in and day out and manage to come up with and awesome show. I'm up late a couple of nights and can't even get out a blog. My hat is off to them. And I can say that. Because I wear a hat.
