War Games (Episode 14)

Arriving at the old Swambler set ghost town, Chase and David get split up by roving child actors. This isn't the worst of David's problems, however, as he not only bumps into someone he'd rather forget but also someone who's starting a revolution.

"He will be curse wording me upside down pretty soon."
love it!!
Mint as a flag!!! (billow, really?)
the plot thickens.....alot

Oh my god, this is awesomeness on a freaking PLATTER!

Finally, FINALLY someone asks Chase if he's hot in that jacket...

Oh man, the elements of this ep that make it awesome are too numerous. I like that the CAG attack on Mint led to his being a beautiful billowing flag (ah Mint, will you ever be other than a noun?) and the revival of David's relationship with Cherry was heartwarming. A myriad of genius lines--I can't comment further--I have to go watch it again!

Love the "Hook" reference!

August 18, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterJacob-Chase.com

Yes, someone got the reference! That's awesome. We thought we'd pay an homage to one of our most favorite childhood films ever.

Unfortunately it seems not many people got the movie reference that we did in the first scene of "Episode 10 - Road Trip"

You also unfortunately paid homage to goatse. Why, oh why?

Dash, where's my credit for building that amazing Rufio ramp? Without my help, Justin may have died.

oh my god. that was amazing. (i'm kind of sick now, so whenever i laugh i just start coughing uncontrollably. i coughed so much in this episode.)

i loved the gag with the sticks/trees on david's back. i loved the awkwardness about chase/amber and david. i loved jimmy riding in to meet the boy/men. i loved billow. the whole thing.

This MIGHT be my favorite episode so far.

Lines that literally made me "LOL":

"Plus he looked really cute in that sheet"
"I recaptured him."
"Who's Amber Turpenstein?"

and when she scares the baby cow when she throws the stick down

I also like just reading this much of Kevin's comment

oh my god. that was amazing. (i'm kind of sick now

and pretending that's all he wrote

August 18, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterSt. Anna Swambler

you named it camp goatse.

August 18, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterBryy (Brian)

i also love how whenever someone says "swamblers" that music plays.
also, i find it creepy how the giant child actor sounds EXACTLY like david....
i also like it how cherry doesn't know what sex her baby is and then the child actors aren't sure what THEIR babies sex is

Balls! I told you to remind me Jess! We're bad with memory related things :0(

August 19, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterDashiell

Funny, that "billow" line never really jumped out at me. It survived a re-write of the scene though, and now it's a bona-fide hit line. Just goes to show you, actors are meat props.

Credit should be given To Jessica Robles as "Lead carpenter in charge of duct-tape"

I also played one of the cows..

Chase, how many kinds of naked ARE there?

Hey, how'd you guys do that wicked dolly shot of Swambler City like that? I don't see any tracks or anything. (Tell me that Dustin wasn't made to run with a dolly tied to his waist!)

August 19, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterFemke

36. There are 36 kinds of naked. Unless you're in the state of North Carolina, where I learned the hard way, that only 28 of them are legal.

As for that wicked dolly shot. That was accomplished by throwing Dashiell on the roof oh Tahko's car. That's right, we are willing to put Dasheill's life in jeopardy for our show.
Actually, we'd be willing to put Dashiell's life in jeopardy for really just about anything.

August 20, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterChase

Brought to you by volvo's patented cameraman stability system...that car has gone through alot worse abuse than just Dashiell's corpulent body ontop of it...

Oh, dashiell, corpulent means awesome...no need to look it up.

August 20, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterTahko

awesome!
