Great! Just the other day I was saying to someone, "you know, BaL needs to have more Mint/Chase love scenes."

You're reading my mind, man! Weird.

Yes! I LOVE Mondays!

March 24, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterFemke

gotta love mint. i find he makes any scene exponentially more awkward, and thus funnier.

March 24, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterKevin

Damn, Mint can never catch a break it seems. No wonder he has so much latent angst!

HILARIOUS, btw, What does the chalkboard say?

March 24, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMargaret

Can anyone help Margaret out?

March 24, 2008 | Registered CommenterBreak a Leg

David's things to do:

-deliver pilot to LA
-avoid children
-don't die
-get famous
-AMBER?
-recut promo 15th time

"amber" is always on the to do lists, if you look carefully.

there are so many great things about this conversation. the manhammer reference, the fact that david thought that was amber, the board...everything. by the way, is that the felecia wig?

March 24, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterKevin

I always love reading the boards.

I think "buy Grapenuts" was on there once.

March 24, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterSt. Anna Swambler

How did I know that Kevin was the one who'd see all that?

The promo joke, by the way, is a little insider thing to FYI, who had us recut a Break a Leg promo around 15 times (around the time of this scene) and it was driving us a little crazy. Perhaps, "Deliver Pilot to LA" is a hint for the next episode? Who really knows, anymore.

And Anna -- you're absolutely right. It was in Episode 3, Act I, it not only said, "Buy grapenuts" it also showed Space Burt Reynolds -- two things from the fan boards on MySpace.

For fans who are relatively new to the show -- we always try to hide references, etc. for those of you watching carefully. Hell, Kevin even found a reference to himself once...

"recut promo 15th time"

That was the only one I couldn't read. But oh my god, is that funny:P

The second time Chase says "hungry"...

hot damn that is consistently hilarious!

Dan --

I agree, and we're in the process, unfortunately, no budget means actors all work full time and so do we, meaning shooting a large endeavor like a full episode takes much longer than these short little conversations. But the new one is being shot and it's going to blow all of your minds!

March 24, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterYuri

Is it wrong that I read "Work full time" as "train at brawl so we don't get our asses beat in a certain Tournament" Yuri? :P

First time for me commenting on here but had to say Chase + Blond Wig + Mint = Instant Win and I hope to see more of this calculation in the future!

March 25, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterKroze

Thanks Kevin! Woah, I've never noticed the boards before, that's pretty intense! I feel like I should go watch all the conversations again.

March 25, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterMargaret

And episodes, Margaret, and episodes...

Kroze -- thanks for posting! Dashiell has been on a rampage trying to teach us how to play. He yells and hits us, it's tough and awful but also very fair and even-handed. Like if I don't time my roll properly, he'll slap me across the face, but then he'll hug me to know he does it because he loves me.

Dashiell is a tough teacher.
