Boards > Life Noir
in episode 12 (my surreality) there's a scene with ghosts at a bar, with a tv on. if my intuition is correct, i would wager that it's life noir. this wouldn't be the first time life noir is referenced, because i figured out that the menorah from the chanukah zombies conversation was also used in life noir. (am i creeping you out yet, yuri?)
for the non-"Late Again Films" obsessed, "life noir" is a film that the crew from BaL worked on before any of us knew about them. david's name is casey and...well it would just be too traumatic to go on. the trailer is somewhere in the depths of myspace and it looked quite awesome. so my next question is, are we ever going to see this? (maybe after BaL?) is it finished (shooting/editing)? i'm sure i speak for...well i'm sure i speak for myself when i say i'm interested to see what will come of this.
p.s. do you have a thing for the name "larry?"

Kevin:
I, too am most anxious to see Life Noir. It was my induction into this extremely talented pool of people. I went to this audition in a basement theatre. I was greeted by Hilary and brought into the theatre to audition. Well I thought I had blown the audtion, but I guess they liked soemthing. I play Mr. Ward the ugly boss to Chad's Larry. This script was one of the best, brightest and funny i have ever read. It was hard shooting that ghost bar scene and not want to watch Life Noir on that screen. I'm the center ghost. So, I second the question: when will we see Life Noir on the big screen?

On an interesting side note, I worked with Yuri in community college on the predecessor to Life Noir which was a play eventually called "Good Vibrations" in which I played Mr. Ward and Larry only existed on the other end of a dead cell phone. Yuri still owes me $17.76 for the scripts that I accidentally paid for when I worked at Kinko's. I know that seems somewhat petty, but added to all the other menial charges Yuri has incured against me, it comes to a sizeable amont. I will of course never see any of this money, but it's just nice to imagine that Yuri is in my debt.

Nice call Kevin, it is indeed Life Noir, our feature length film that we like to perpetually keep in post production to torment our actors.
Heh, well not really, we just haven't had any time to finish it, BaL is a black hole of sorts when it comes to that kind of thing.
However, we all strongly want to see the film finished, and done properly, it's a gorgeous piece, a bit dated since it was our first project together (I didn't technically come in till we were in post production and getting pickup shots), but should be a fun movie none the less. One day the fates will see fit to give us the time to finish it :0).

May I second that notion? Well... quintripple it?
