Break a Leg

I'm thinking about purchasing a Macbook. Whats good and whats bad? I looked at it on apple.com and im sondiering it..what do you think?>

I got the macbook pro and I dig it, it's a fairly new one, although you know, "new" in the computer world doesn't last long.

I'd say there's not a whole lot you can go wrong, but it really depends on what you're looking to do with it. You want a powerhorse or just a kindly old mule to take you from place to place?

Yeah, jsut a computer really...howeva I looked at the Macbook air, and its awesome! But its like 3000$...too much:)

What's good: Final Cut Pro. What's bad: price.

I haven't really looked at the macbook air, but I've heard it doesn't have a dvd player/burner, which really, just seems kinda silly to me. I mean it's cool to have a really thin macbook, that you could slip under your friends door at night or something, but I'd like to keep the dvd functionality.

Yeah, Mac's are pricey, especially if you're looking on the apple site (they seem to like only showing their latest products), but you can probably shop around a bit, get an older model mac somewhere. Honestly last time I bought a computer was a year or so ago, and I just bought it off the apple site. So I'm afraid I don't have too much advice to offer.

Theres a lot of cool stuff about the macbook air too though. Like, I know it doesnt have an optical drive, but it has a connection to sense when a computer nears it has a disk kn its drive, and you can send an invite, they accept it and u can install software or watch a movie
Plus, you can buy movies and stuff off of iTunes now

and you can fit it in a manila envelope! because i know when i spend thousands of dollars on a computer, i want to wrap it in a piece of paper so it doesn't get damaged.

Actually, I just got one of the new thin apple keyboards. Thing is freakin sexy. my old keyboard was about as disgusting as a keyboard can get... quite seriously, Justin put it into the dishwasher to see if it could be salavged... it could not. I cried :0(.

Oh yeah, those keyboards look pretty intense..is it wireless?

You can get a wireless one, I didn't, don't really need it, I'm usually tethered to my computer anyway. Besides, then I'd have to get a wireless mouse too, and then you know the money starts racking up and I just start justifying other purchases to myself. Like a wireless blender, for my wireless blending needs.

Mmmm, wireless margaritas...

totally get the Macbook Pro, I love watching all of my webisode stuff on it. It has been the faster computer I have ever owned? Do you watch a lot of BAL? Or any other webisodes? Which ones?
