Does anyone here have a Wii? I'm sorry, I'm currious ^_^

December 6, 2007 | Unregistered CommenterChristian Shelton

yes.

and i can't wait to get home from school so that i can play with my wii...

...and so that i can make more suggestive comments about it.

Dashiell (editor) does, and it frackin' rocks (I <3 Battlestar in case you didn't notice, hahaha, I went as Lee Adama for Haloween...why am I telling people this?)

December 6, 2007 | Unregistered CommenterMint

why? because this is the The Most Off Topic Post Ever!

December 7, 2007 | Unregistered CommenterKevin

Mint's right! I do have a Wii, man I love the thing, I'm somewhere around 60ish stars into mario galaxy right now, game rocks my socks. Also, I may just have to lock myself in my room for a few months once Smash Bros comes out.

December 7, 2007 | Unregistered CommenterDashiell

Also, Dashiell and I sometimes play some epic games of Mario Soccer. If any of you have that -- oh, god, we must play.

December 7, 2007 | Registered CommenterBreak a Leg

I have a Wii...but not too many games. (I really need to get a job)

I'm on my second way through Twilight Princess...I decided a year since playing it would be good enough for me. :)

December 7, 2007 | Unregistered CommenterNick

Awesome! I don't have any Wi-Fi games yet (but I plan to soon...thank you Christmas, haha), but when I do, maybe some of us could play. Do you guys have a Wi-Fi connection?

December 7, 2007 | Unregistered CommenterChristian Shelton

I do, now all I need is a Wi-Fi game.

But I can have friends! Post your Wii-codes, peeps!

I can't really get to mine now...

December 7, 2007 | Unregistered CommenterNick

Haha same here...uhm...I will post mine a little later, my siter is watching tv ^_^

December 8, 2007 | Unregistered CommenterChristian Shelton

How do you find out your wii code?
I just got one and I want to kick some BUTTS at something.

February 9, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterHannah

Guys, feel free to use this thread to talk about ANYTHING your heart desires. BaL needs an off-topic thread, I nominate this one.

So, how's.. um, school going?

February 9, 2008 | Registered CommenterBreak a Leg

this semester started out pretty smoothly, but all of a sudden i have a ton of crap to do. yuck.

February 9, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterKevin

Oh school, how I don't miss thee.
Although I do remember having fun prank calling people from the phone on the teacher's desk.

February 11, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterJustin

Oh I gotta get my Wii Code up here, for the most part we play Mario Soccer, but Smash Bros comes out soon, and I have to let everyone here know, that I rock, hard core, no joke. So if you're gonna try and be all up onz, bring your A-game foo's, I'll mess you up. No Shit.

Peaceizzle

February 11, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterDashiell

Just catching on to this thread now and let me just say -- i am mad jealous of the Lee Adama costume.

But I met Baltar and Six at NY Comic Con last year so I win?

Yeah, yeah you win. Man, i can't wait for the next season, I hope they end it well, it's been too good to go out with a fizzle.

February 13, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterDashiell

I got halfway through season 2 when the roommate with the 54" DLP TV moved out, taking his BS box set with him...I'm so behind.

February 13, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterJennifer

Nooooo, you must catch up. There's always piracy*

*note: Dashiell Reinhardt is in no way advocating piracy in any way shape or form, especially when it comes to raping and pillaging.

February 14, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterDashiell

That's how I watched it. TvLinks (when it was still up and running) was my best friend. Catch up! You have until March.

I know, I can't wait until Super Smash Bros. comes out ^_^

February 18, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterChristian Shelton

Hell yes, maybe I should start a smash bros thread, I'll probably do it once it comes out, get everone's Wii codes. Then everyone will have to face the wrath of Link, and Sonic, and probably Snake, ooh, and Pit... man I'm psyched about this game.

February 19, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterDashiell

I have a Wii I love it so much but I am such a loser and haven't bought any games yet, you guys have any suggestions? I love Wii Sports, what is your lowest fitness age? Mine is 23. Since this thread is so of topic does anybody watch any other webisodes? I have seen a few of them, Break A Leg is definitely one of my favorites though! How many break a leg episodes are there has anyone seen every single one?

February 20, 2008 | Registered CommenterJamie Harris

Most of us have seen every single one.
You ask a lot of questions.

February 20, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterHannah

Yeah, that surplus of questions kind of makes my head explode.

PS: It's snowing!

Great Wii Games

Super Mario Galaxy
Metroid Prime 3
Zelda Twilight Princess

heh, noticing the pattern here? Basically all the main stream nintendo titles. Mario Socer is pretty awesome, Zak & Wiki is a cool game, although a little off beat, No More Heroes is pretty fun, but the game mechanics could be done up still, pretty much agree with IGN's review. Rayman Raving Rabbids is surprisingly entertaining, There's a good deal of fun stuff, but I'm mainly waiting for Smash Bros.

And I've seen every episode so many times that it makes me want to throw up, and yet I still laugh, I think that's a good sign?

February 22, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterDashiell

yeah, i've seen them all, too.

as for the wii, i'm a little disappointed with the games. i only have wii sports and play, mario galaxy, and zelda twilight princess. i'm still waiting for developers to figure out how to use the wiimote in a good way, rather than cheap gimmicks that make the game harder than if i had a regular controller. the system certainly has potential, but it hasn't been fully realized yet.

February 23, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterKevin

God, I've GOT to get my Wii connected to my WiFi, I've got too many ports occupied or...something, I don't know.

The asshole Comcast repair guy didn't have any idea what a Wii was when I described my problem.

But, Yuri, I would play Mario Soccer with you in a heartbeat.

February 24, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterSt. Anna Swambler

so smash bros. comes out when i'm on spring break with my wii. i'm pumped for a week of playing before i lose it again...

February 24, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterKevin

Yeah I gotta say I agree, I love the games for the Wii, but it does feel like they're not really tapping into what the controller can do yet, still feels a little gimmicky. Except for in Metroid Prime 3, that game is amazing, and using the Wii remote to shoot is awesome. Also, Zak & Wiki uses it pretty well, although the other problem is that it doesn't really work perfectly, so a lot of the time I'll want to do a motion, and it won't really read properly.

We'll see what they come up with though, I'm curious to see what the Sonic Tennis game is gonna end up being like, if they make it like a decked out Wii Tennis it should rock.

But yeah, Smash Bros is reason enough to own the system ;0).

February 25, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterDashiell

Thanks for answering all of those questions and yeah I know I am so new to Break A Leg, I have to ask so I can catch up! Are the creators ever commenting on these boards? Id love to tell them what a great job they are doing!

February 28, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterJamie

Yes, the creators, participants and other involved persons check this sight with what could almost be called a religious ferver and possibly psychotic devotion.

February 28, 2008 | Unregistered CommenterJennifer

Jamie -- yessir. We write blogs (along with the other actors, etc.) and commonly post here.

Myself (Yuri) and Vlad are the creators and you'll see us around quite a bit. Justin (Chase Cougar) and Dashiell are the other two producers who are responsible for the way the show looks (they both do the cinematography and editing.)

And then, if you watch carefully, you'll see various other people posting. Jennifer (Chad Yarish) posts quite a bit, as well as Jimmy Scotch (Drew Lanning). You'll also see an occasional post from our very own Mint (Dustin Toshiyuki). Others come by and post as well -- so, we're here and we thank you!
